Configure OpenVAS

The OpenVAS Scanner on CollectorsV4

This article explains how to configure a simple OpenVAS’s Task that can be used by SGBox to launch a network scan.

Requirements:

• OpenVAS must be installed

Connect to OpenVAS web interface on port 4000.

From Scan Management menu, click New Task

• Choose a name for the Task.
• Select Localhost as Scan Target ( It’ll be changed with the correct scan target by SGBox when the scan is lauched).
• Choose a Scan Config ( in our case we use Full and Fast config ).

Click on Create Task

Select Scan Managemnet > Task.
You can see the created Task. OpenVAS has been configured
